Maintaining a herd of well-trained, healthy horses is both essential to our mission and financially demanding. As these horses age, their care becomes more complex and costly. This is especially true for Willie B, Bentley, Zsa, and Sugar—four of the 12 horses HART half-leases to support year-round programming. Each of these horses plays a vital role in serving our riders, providing not just mobility and interaction, but confidence, connection, and a sense of achievement. The funding from this grant will directly support these four well loved HART horses for the upcoming 2026 lesson season.

Every day, HART Equine Therapeutic Center, Inc shows up for students with special needs, and their families.
This season, a lot more people are going to hear about it.
We've been named one of 10 Wisconsin nonprofits featured in Game Changing Players, a community program from the Green Bay Packers and Thrivent that highlights organizations making a difference across the state. Our work will be recognized during a home game at Lambeau Field and featured on packers.com.
Here's what that actually means for our community: visibility becomes volunteers. It becomes donors, partners, and neighbors who didn't know we existed last week. That's how more students get to experience the benefits of connecting with a horse through equine therapeutic riding.

Our Mission:
HART is dedicated to empowering individuals with special needs through equine-assisted services.
HART Equine Therapeutic Center, Inc. was founded in December 2013 as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization to provide equine-assisted services for individuals of all ages and economic status that are overcoming a challenge, have special needs, or at risk. Students will engage with horses in activities such as therapeutic horseback riding lessons, grooming, and groundwork. These activities provide socialization for all and offers opportunities for volunteers.
